PARTICIPATING COURSES:
Arroyo Del Oso: Arroyo del Oso isn't necessarily a tough course. Its features — which include large greens, rolling fairways, three water-hole obstacles, and sand traps — meet the needs of intermediate and advanced players.
The course opened in 1965. A 9-hole addition named "Dam 9" was constructed in 1987, giving Arroyo del Oso its 27 holes.
Arroyo del Oso's primary course is 6,545 yards Par 72 for men, and 6,015 yards Par 73 for women. The Dam 9 plays to a Par 36 at 3,300 yards, crossing the Bear Canyon Arroyo three times.
Los Altos: The course is built to favor the weekend golfer with a natural slice. In general, the course is intended for relatively fast play.
A foursome could play an 18-hole round in less than 4 hours. The 9-hole Executive Par 3 Course is designed to satisfy golfers who have only a limited time to play.
Despite the seemingly flat terrain, the course layout features two large lakes, numerous mature trees, and large sand traps.
Los Altos is ideal for the beginner to intermediate golfer. It measures 6,180 yards from the men's tees at par 71, and 5,895 yards from the forward tees at par 74.
Los Altos also features a pro shop, banquet and grill.
Puerto Del Sol: Lighted Driving Range open 7 nights a week, Memorial Day until Labor Day.
Rated an outstanding 9-hole course by the National Golf Foundation, Puerto del Sol includes ample-sized greens and wide tree-lined fairways.
Most holes are straight, and the terrain is flat with the exception of two rolling fairways.
The course is easy to walk, making Puerto del Sol popular with beginner golfers and seniors.
This regular 9-hole course measures 3,030 yards from the championship tees, 2,830 yards from the regulation tees, and 2,525 yards from the forward tee. The 9-hole par is 35 for both men and women.
Ladera: Enjoy a golfing challenge on Albuquerque's West Side at Ladera.
Surrounding Ladera are beautiful views of the Sandia Mountains to the east and the volcanoes to the west.
Ladera measures 7,107 yards from the championship tees, 6,618 from the regulation tees with a Par 72, and 5,066 yards from the forward tee, which also has a Par 72. The course includes a 9-hole Executive Course that stretches 2,053 yards from the men's tees and 1,852 yards from the women's tees.
Ladera is a challenging city-owned course, with the longest playing yardage of any of the other city courses.
