Country Club of the Poconos Golf Course, owned by Middle Smithfield Township in Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania, is definitely one of the best places in golf to enjoy nature at its finest. But it also offers you some great golfing adventures that demand your attention: wetlands to carry; hills to climb; elevated greens and strategically placed sand traps, to name a few. Set against the Allegheny Plateau and the Pocono Mountain foothills, Country Club of the Poconos’ picturesque scenery and impeccable conditioning provide a unique golf experience. Glen Brook Golf Club: Established in 1924 Glen Brook Golf Club has stood the test of time.  Glen Brook is a scenic course that rolls through the meadows of the Pocono Mountains with some amazing views of the local topography.  Privately owned for the first 80 years, Glen Brook operated as a semi -private club supporting a great membership opportunity and still has the ability to accommodate public golf.  In 2006, Stroud Township purchased the golf course along with some surrounding property as part of an open space initiative to offer activities to the general public.  Over the past 8 years the township has invested heavily into the golf course and has been improving year after year. We are now allowing uses of the property on some non-course areas, such as hiking, bird watching, fishing, and cross country skiing.  A master plan prepared by Stroud Region Open Space and Recreation is available at https://www.srosrc.org/. On top of having a great location, Glen Brook offers a full line of service from a fully stocked pro shop, practice facility, and restaurant that is open year round for lunch and dinner.  On top of our extra provided services, we also offer the ability to stay with us in one of our 12 guest suites.  All our suites overlook the McMichael’s Creek and create a peaceful setting to get away from your daily life.  Our suites can comfortably sleep 24 golfers or 12 couples, perfect for golf groups looking to create a memorable weekend with friend or family.

Great Bear Golf Club: Nestled within the scenic mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania, Great Bear Golf Club is a semi-private golf club which features an 18-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus. While our course is the crown jewel of golf in Pennsylvania, the property itself is what sets us apart. With our picturesque clubhouse and superior service, there is no better place to be than at Great Bear Golf Club. Jack Nicklaus’ 18-hole championship design demonstrates why he has been considered the master of his game for decades. Nicklaus has taken the natural advantages of the site and worked harmoniously with them to create a course that is an experience in golf and aesthetics. Integrating the three lakes, several streams, wetlands, small bridges and rolling terrain, Nicklaus has created a course that presents itself differently to golfers of varying skill levels. For the experienced player, the course offers interesting challenges and pro tees that will bring out the best in even the strongest golfers. Yet it's also designed to be a course with the ultimate in fairness and playability. It ensures for golfers of all abilities an enjoyable experience, round after round, and reveals its intricacies and craftsmanship the more you play it. Great Bear is destined to be one of the Golden Bear's most-talked-about layouts.

Pocono Hills Golf Course: (Formerly Fernwood Golf Course) This is a short, tight mountain course designed by architect Nicolas Psiahas in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. An 18 hole par 71 Golf Course with tree lined rolling fairways, leading to medium sized greens that are undulating and moderate in speed. The course plays from 4,550 to 6,200-yards and offers three sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. Contact 888-337-6966 –press 3 to reserve a tee time. 

Skytop Lodge: Set atop the peak of a high plateau, our course is rated 4 out of 5 by Golf Advisor and a proud partner of Preferred Golf Club, a division of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. No other Poconos golfing vacations offer a mountain-style track that plays over rolling terrain and boasts wide, tree-lined fairways and small greens that challenge players of all levels. Above average in speed, this course incorporates water on two holes and plenty of strategically placed bunkers over its 6,656 yards— enjoyably playable for the casual player and serious golfer alike. Each player must have his or her own set of clubs. Rentals are $60 and available through the Pro Shop. Please respect that we do not allow five-somes on the course and that walking is only permitted after 3pm. Our award winning course is open to the public.
