We’re Scot and Barb, and for over 30 years, we’ve been serving more than just meals—we've been creating genuine experiences for Tucson’s community. From our early days running spots like Kon Tiki, Dagwood Café, and The Reef, to now with Bumsteds, we’ve been crafting memories alongside our signature dishes, one plate at a time..

We don’t know any other way to live. We have run restaurants together since we said “I Do” 

For us, it’s never been about trends or fluff. It’s about enduring quality, authentic flavors, and making every guest feel like part of the family. We don’t just want you to eat, we want you to experience. So, go ahead—plant your bum in one of our seats. We promise it’s a seat you’ll want to keep warm.

​Which brings us to the heart of it all: Bumsteds is our baby. Not just because it’s the place where we raised our actual daughter, Maddie, but because it’s the place where we’ve most connected with YOU, Tucson. It all began over 15 years ago on 4th Avenue with thick-cut bacon, homemade meatloaf sandwiches, and scratch-made sauces that have become local legends.

And now, we’re just down the street on Speedway and Stone—BIGGER and BETTER THAN EVER.​
