Behind the Brand

Maxwell Golf Course has been part of the Abilene community since 1934, serving generations of golfers across the Big Country. Originally built as the city’s municipal golf course, Maxwell was created to provide an affordable and welcoming place for the community to enjoy the game. Today, Maxwell is entering a new chapter. Operated by Lonestar Golf Course Management, our goal is to preserve the legacy of this historic course while continuing to improve and revitalize it for the Abilene community. Maxwell has been part of Abilene for nearly a century and we’re proud to help carry that tradition forward.
