Behind the Brand

Cocina Azul began on Mountain Road in 2009 serving authentic New Mexican food from homemade recipes. Since then, Cocina Azul has added 2 locations: The Bar & Grill on Montgomery, east of Carlisle; and their newest location, La Cantina on Paseo del Norte, east of I-25. Everything created at Cocina Azul is cooked to the standards of our owner, Frank Barela, Sr. You’ll find classic New Mexican cuisine alongside dishes that have Frank’s unique touch.
