Historic Crystal Cave, an awesome underground cave located near Kutztown, PA, is known for its abundance of milky white formations that have thrilled visitors for over 145 years. The tour begins with a one-hour movie in the Crystal Cave Theater, presenting the history of Pennsylvania's First Show Cave and geology of caves. After the movie our courteous guides will lead you 125 feet underground while displaying and explaining endless number of spectacular milky white stalactites, stalagmites, pillar and dripstone formations on the walls and ceilings enhanced by indirect lighting, giving Crystal Cave its name. The cave temperature is a comfortable 54 degrees, however, a light sweater or jacket and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
After the tour, stop by the Rock & Mineral Shop where you’ll see thousands of unusual rock and mineral specimens then off to the Gift Shop where you and pick up a Crystal Cave souvenir. Grab a bite to eat and cool off with a sweet treat in our Ice Cream Parlor! Crystal Cave also has an 18-hole miniature golf course and gemstone panning (both for a small additional fee).
This summer, make it a point to visit Crystal Cave in Kutztown, a great trip kids and adults will talk about for years to come!
