Locally owned and operated, Gabe’s Wisconsin Kitchen and Tavern is proud to be a part of the growing Oshkosh community. In 2019 Gabes opened with one simple goal, to create a place where people feel like they belong, a neighborhood bar. A place where food was honest and simple, the cocktails were well thought out and the service came with a side of Wisconsin warmth. Gabe’s is named after Steve’s (the owner) Dad’s childhood nickname “Gabe” as a tribute to the love, pride, and tradition that defined the Gabelbauer household. Our two signature recipes; Dad’s Beer Can Chicken and Mom’s (MJ) Pot Roast aren’t just meals; they’re symbols of tradition and legacy. Our homestyle approach has made Gabe’s one of the few true scratch kitchens in the Oshkosh area. Inside Gabe’s bar area, you will be able to find meticulously crafted cocktails, a wide selection of bourbons, hand selected wines, top shelf spirits, and some of the best local beers Wisconsin provides.
