Fatt Mamaa’s Po Boyz and Sandwiches 55 is a beloved, one-woman-run sandwich shop in Oshkosh, founded by Shiequane Burks—known affectionately as “Fatt Mamaa.” Her journey from poverty and incarceration to entrepreneurship is as inspiring as her food is flavorful. Since opening in 2022, she’s earned a loyal following and has been voted Best BBQ in Oshkosh two years in a row, a testament to her culinary talent and dedication.

Her restaurant specializes in stacked po’ boys filled with pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and shrimp, all served on toasted hoagie rolls with house-made sauces, slaw, and Fatt Mamaa’s homemade BBQ sauce. Fan favorites include the Makhi Burger, Jackie’s Gigantic Burger, Oink Fries, and Italian Beef—often praised as better than Chicago’s.
