Behind the Brand

The Place is one of the oldest taverns in Buffalo, established in 1867, steeped in tradition and old-world charm.  You will always find a friendly bartender ready to welcome you with a cold, frosty beer from one of the taps that feature beers and ales from great local brewers and from around the globe.  The Place features a large selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle, classic cocktails and specials nightly.  Enjoy food prepared to order with the freshest ingredients.  

The Place on Lexington Avenue, is a nostalgic reflection of Buffalo's past, offering both the classic ambiance and oldtime charm that Buffalonians have come to love, since the original bar-restaurant opened decades ago. Now, totally remodeled to make the space more efficient and customer friendly.  The Place has been restored to its original charm, retaining many of The Place's memorable elements, including the mahogany wood walls, the original tongue and groove ceiling, coupled with the new elements such as the copper bar top, redocorated backroom and new hardwood oak flooring.  

The Place has recently added a covered porch, where you can enjoy Buffalo's beautiful summer, while dining for lunch or dinner. In this quiet neighborhood gem, located on Lexington just off Elmwood, In the heart of the Elmwood Village.
