Behind the Brand

North Peak Brewing Company brings its Northern Michigan brewing roots to the Bay City waterfront with fresh craft beer, hearty pub fare, and a laid-back atmosphere built for gathering, relaxing, and staying awhile. We embrace the lifestyle of slowing down & focusing on the beauty of this magical place we call ‘home’. Each sip of our beer transports you to the wonders of Northern Michigan.

A moment in time that sparks something bigger. Ours started in Downtown Traverse City, Michigan, when the entrepreneurial Carlson, Lobdell, and Czaplicka families took a chance on a long-abandoned candy factory. Within those cavernous brick walls, North Peak Brewing Company was born in 1997, built on a commitment to crafting exceptional beer and food. At our Bay City location, cozy up inside in the cooler months or hang out on our patio this summer with live entertainment. Regardless of where you decide to join us, just be sure to do so with a North Peak brew in hand!
