Thoroughbred Golf
The Thoroughbred Golf Club in Rothbury, Michigan, opened in 1993, with a meticulous design and layout by Arthur Hills to embrace and accentuate the rolling Michigan woods, wetlands, and lakes. The course offers 18 holes, with four sets of tees allowing novice and average golfers to enjoy a round. The Thoroughbred carries a 147 slope rating from the tips and provides a significant challenge for the more experienced golfer. Arthur Hills boasts: “The Thoroughbred is stunning and dramatic, but fair and playable for golfers of all abilities.” The Thoroughbred offers an amazing diversity of features including the dramatic 425-yard par four 2nd hole, which wraps around a beautiful cranberry bog and is featured as one of the 18 hardest holes in Michigan on 'Golf Michigan Live.' Adding to the uniqueness of the Thoroughbred, golfers are treated to passing horseback riders - who have the right of way on all cart paths. With so much to offer to golfers and non-golfers alike, the Thoroughbred Golf Club at the Double JJ Resort is an ideal setting for a day trip or weekend escape to West Michigan. Grand View Golf Course
Grand View Golf Course in New Era, Michigan, is rated 4.5 stars on 'Golf Advisor' and 12th in the state. Grand View is a par 71 with a unique island green on our signature 8th hole. Grand View is cut through beautiful rolling terrain with breathtaking views on many elevated tees. We offer a driving range, practice green, and picnic facilities for groups. We are open through early November, weather permitting. Like the Thoroughbred Golf Course, the Grand View Golf Course is part of the Double JJ Resort.
Arrowhead Golf Course
Sculpted into the landscape a half-century ago, Arrowhead Golf Course enhances the native scenery with dense tree lines that frame every hole and creeks and ponds that bisect lush fairways. The front nine features more straight-on layouts with undulating greens, and the back nine can test any bag of trick sticks with numerous ponds and sweeping doglegs on the final two holes. On the par 4 18th hole, the course’s hardest rated hole, a dogleg left is guarded by an oak tree at the bend that swats shots trying to cut the corner and a fairway-splitting stream that lures thirsty golf balls.
Morrison Lake Golf Course
Morrison Lake Golf Club is an 18 Hole, full service Public Golf Course which sits adjacent to the majestic 'Morrison Lake' in Saranac, Michigan. Conveniently located off I-96 just minutes from Grand Rapids, Lansing, Lowell, Hastings, and Ionia, the layout is well known as one of the area's most player-friendly golf courses, boasting meticulously maintained greens and pine tree-lined fairways. Built in 1927, the course was sculpted with the natural rolling topography in mind, bringing numerous ponds and creeks into play to create a golf experience that's stood the test of time.
The Falls at Barber Creek
The newest and most exciting golf destination in West Michigan. This beautifully designed 18-hole public golf course meticulously built on a 230-acre family homestead located in northern Kent County near Kent City welcomes golfers of all ages and skill levels. It’s a challenging track with dramatic elevation changes through breathtaking scenery of woods & water and fields & meadows enhanced by white fences and hand-made stone structures, including a 40 foot waterfall! Each hole has 4 sets of tees with Kentucky bluegrass fairways, Scottish-style fescue roughs and sculpted creeping bentgrass greens and tees.
Initially opened in 2007 as a 9-hole course, the excitement truly began when our dream of 18-holes was fully realized in 2015
