Dandridge Golf and Country Club
Jefferson County is rapidly becoming synonymous with great golf. As one of the first golf courses built in the area, Dandridge Golf & Country Club has developed a reputation as an enjoyable round of golf for the beginner or the seasoned professional. The original 18 holes, designed by Dan Maples, meanders its way through valleys, hills, and woodlands. Then, in 1991, nine more holes were added with the same characteristics or the original design, bringing the area’s first 27-hole golf complex. And if the course itself doesn’t offer enough scenic beauty, you will often find yourself pausing to admire the views of the Great Smokey Mountains and Douglas Lake. Dandridge offers the same lush Bermuda fairways and bent grass green as its sister course (Patriot Hills). All combinations are par-72 and measure approximately 6,100 yards from the back tees, 5,800 yards from the regular tees, and 4,900 yards from the forward tees. Dandridge is a public course.
Three Ridges Golf Course is one of Knoxville's premier public golf facilities. Set in the shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains, the course challenges golfers of all skill levels. You are sure to enjoy a great day of golf amid spectacular scenery.
Named one of Golf Digest's “Best Places To Play,” Three Ridges was designed by Ault, Clark and Associates. It features smooth bentgrass greens, Bermuda tees, and fairways, and 63 strategically placed bunkers. Three Ridges host numerous charitable and corporate events including the Knox County Amateur Championship. In addition, it was the host course for the 2014 and 2015 National Golf Association (NGA) Tournament.
The Greens at Deerfield is an 18 Hole Par 71 6,700-yard Championship Golf Course located on scenic Norris Lake in East Tennessee open to the public. We have 5 sets of tees measuring from 5700 yards to 4400 yards, and most players will use all the clubs in the bag. The front nine flows thru the valley and wraps around the lake, while the back nine is carved out thru the hillside and plateau. Each nine has a signature hole. Number 3 requires two carries over Norris Lake from the Men’s tee and provides a unique ambiance with views of the Deerfield Cove Marina and “Famed Tikki Hut."
The course opened in 1995 and excels in superior course conditions and good ole’ Tennessee southern hospitality. Our bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways are in superb shape, and the views of Norris Lake are incredible.
Our guests have a chance to play a course with scenic views of the mountains, Norris lake, and unique changes in elevation. One of our signature holes, #16, is a Par 4 that drops off over 300 feet from the tee! Furthermore, we are one of the few courses where you can arrive by car, boat or even plane.
Clinchview Golf Club in Bean Station, Tennessee, is more than just an excellent golf course. It is also a community-minded operation with reasonable green fees and great views of the Smoky Mountains.
It’s a family-owned, family-run operation with family in mind. You can bring a cooler of beer and the Keck family won’t mind, but they don’t sell alcohol on the premises: Churches and schools are some of their best customers. On top of that, it’s a fine golf course. The Keck family bought it back in the mid-80s and has been steadily putting money into it. They rebuilt the cart paths, renovated the irrigation system, and re-designed and planted new landscaping. All the tee boxes are attractive.
They lengthened the course, installed some bunkers – where there had not been a single one previously – and added women’s and senior’s tees. They also did some lovely stonework, in the form of walls and small stone bridges that take you over what little water there is.
Recently named 'No. 4 Most Improved Course in U.S.' by Golf Advisor in 2018, golfers have long enjoyed playing Whittle Springs, Knoxville’s first public golf course. The course has undergone many incarnations over its storied 75-plus-year history, with Whittle Springs offering a fun and enjoyable golfing experience for everyone. Whether you are playing from the par 71, 4,781-yard front tees to the par 70, 5,729-yard back tees, the classic design has small bent grass greens that vary in undulation, and sloping Bermuda fairways.
The crown jewel of golf in this area is our newest course, Patriot Hills Golf Club. The largest development in Jefferson County, Patriot Hills was opened in the Spring of 1997 to rave reviews. “The best new course in East Tennessee” being just one!
At its inception, Patriot Hills was intended to be more challenging than its sister course (Dandridge). With a similar design, the course has proved to be as tough as you want it to be. The par 72-course measures 6,710 yards from the back tees, 6,068 yards from the regular tees, 5,609 yards from the senior tees, and 4,974 yards from the forward tees.
Patriot Hills offers the same lush Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens as the Dandridge course. The scenery is quite spectacular as well, affording the golfer many scenic views of English Mountain and the Great Smokey Mountains. Patriot Hills is open to the public.
