The Pines brings people together to inspire fun, memory-making, relationship-building, and historic appreciation
In the heart of Sevierville’s Downtown Historic District and in a building home to Sevierville’s unforgettable entertainment roots, The Pines re-opens its doors for more history to be made. An atmosphere of gaming, lounging, and competition, you, your friends, and family can enjoy indulging in great fun, food, beverages, conversation, and overall entertainment.
"I can't tell you how proud I am to have the Pines Theater back up and running. It is a cherished piece of my childhood. The early days of my music career took place at the Pines. Many acts from the Cas Walker Show performed there on Saturday nights, myself included. The Cas Walker Show is where I got my start when my uncle, Bill Owens took me to sing on the Cas Walker Show. Mr. Walker not only had the performers here at the Pines but held all kinds of fun things to do to bring people in. There was a greasy pole on stage with a hundred dollars at the top so at intermission people would compete. I, as a little girl being quick and sturdy, got a little sand and gravel on me outside and climbed up the greasy pole and I won the prize. Some thought it was rigged because I was on the show and Mr. Walker said "How in the hell did we rig the greasy pole? She won the money fair and square and she did it." So needless to say I have so many precious and fond memories. Also as an added bonus, I got to see a movie before they got ready to set up the show for Saturday nights and that was very special as we never got to go to the movies. So again, so happy to see the Pines back." - Dolly
