Canoe Kentucky

The "Fun Float" is appropriate for beginner to intermediate paddlers. This is the most secluded and intimate section of The Elkhorn Creek, full of wildlife and great for fishing. The creek runs over a rock bottom through a series of riffles, small rapids, and calm pools and is between 35 ft. and 90 ft. wide. The "Fun Float" passes through a scenic, wooded valley scattered with rock beaches and is perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and at certain water levels, rafting, The put in is at Knight's Bridge on KY 1900 and the take out is at Canoe Kentucky in Peaks Mill.

This is the shortest and most popular trip that we offer. It is on Class I+ water and averages 2 hours if you paddle straight through (water conditions can change the duration of your trip). Generally, the trip lasts 2-3 hours, but you are welcome to stay on the water til close of business. Canoes can hold a maximum of 2 individuals, unless you have a child under the weight of 85lbs, and under 13 years of age. If that's the case, they may ride along as a 3rd person in the canoe for a $10 fee.
