Located in the historic gold rush town of Sonora, California. This scenic 18-hole championship course was designed by Robert Muir Graves and opened in 1990. In 2019 The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians purchased the property as a resort amenity to the Black Oak Casino as well as an amenity for the community. The name Teleli is from the Me-Wuk language and translates to Black Oak. Robert Muir Graves designed this championship course while enjoying the Gold Country and the scenic beauty of the Sierra Nevada foothills. Teleli Golf Club has rapidly matured into one of the most popular facilities in the Sierra Foothills and is a challenge for players of all abilities. Teleli Golf Club provides a fully stocked Golf Shop, Full Restaurant, Bar, Banquet Facilities, driving range, putting greens, and four sets of tees to accommodate golfers of all abilities!
The Golf Club at Copper Valley
Rolling through the foothills, our 18-Hole championship course was designed by Carter Morrish and opened in 1996. This scenic and challenging course features both gentle and dramatic changes in elevation. Breathtaking views are just part of the experience, including dramatic views of the Sierras, Yosemite and a plentiful variety of wildlife. Natural lakes, streams and grasses frame each hole with plenty of bunkers to excite your every shot. Stretching just over 6,800 yards from the black tees, the championship tees have a slope rating of 137. The most popular tees measure 6,044 yards with a gentle slope rating of 122 and the forward tees measure 4,486 yards with a slope rating of 116. Since opening, the course has received numerous awards, including recognition as the 10th best public access course in the state of California by Golfweek Magazine in 2013. In 1997, Golf Digest voted Saddle Creek the seventh best New Upscale golf course in the U.S. Golf Digest has also rated Saddle Creek four and a half stars. Only Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill are rated higher in California with five stars. It is nice to be in such prestigious company.
