Behind the Brand
Thunder Island, known as the biggest small park around was born in 1979 with a go-kart track. While some attractions come and go with trends, go-karts still remain popular today. While notable past attractions included a Big Eli 16 Ferris wheel transplanted from the location of the movie "Big", a helicopter ride, cross country skiing, the hottest BMX track on the east coast and bumper boats, today the park seems have all the right stuff.
With continued expansion and upgrades the park still only utilizes 10% of the available property. Check out our eight water slides with 5 pools, 3 styles of go-karts, a beautiful sprawling jungle golf course and the newest Soaring Eagle Zip line ride. We think there's something for everyone. And some of the best of all things: NO general admission. That's right, no general admission and that means no sales tax on rides or attractions and No parking fees. Located within the same complex far enough away to be private but close enough to include is The Oasis indoor and outdoor event, party, and banquet facility. Available year round this private 2 acre area can give you the most unique combined food and entertainment event or the most traditional with food, service and an attentive staff that guests describe as "amazing".
