White Pines Golf Course: When you play their golf course, the experience will exceed your expectations. They are here to help you relax and enjoy the golf game. They are there for you, and I hope you will allow them to serve you.  White Pines Golf Course opened on Memorial Day weekend in 2002. The property was purchased from the Dunipace Family in February of 2000. The owners are Ed Spatz, his sister Karen Gerken, and her husband, Peter Gerken. The golf course design is by Mike Mueller (Ed’s and Karen’s cousin), owner of Valley View Farms Golf Course in Saginaw, Michigan. Ed Spatz is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Turf Grass and Soil Management. Before White Pines, Ed was the Superintendent for 12 years of Auglaize County Club in Defiance, Ohio. Karen Gerken is also a graduate of Michigan State University and worked for 15 years as a Sales Representative for VWR International.
